Just got a great deal on Ft. Lauderdale hotel

Unfortunately there is more to my $11 room story.

I made the reservation on the Best Western website. Probably some kind of computer error/glitch.

Best Westerns, it seems, are independently owned. The hotel is refusing to honor the rate and the best they will do is $89.

Best Western customer service has agreed to reimburse me the difference of $78 after I fax them my receipt. So I will have to front the money, but they are willing to honor the price for me. They gave me their fax number, a case number, a contact person etc. I do feel confident they will honor the refund.

So ... all is still well. )

If they do not give yo a refund Use amex then dispute it and save all your correspondence.
