Just heard on CNN that ATA has cancelled all flights and is bankrupt. Something about losing Government contracts for transporting......Wonder if that means no more Hawaii flights for them???

We just came back from Kauai on Monday morning on ATA. At that time, we were relieved that we were not scheduled on Aloha. Now, I am also relieved that we came back when we did. They were overbooked and asked if we wanted to spend a couple of extra days and take a later flight back to the mainland.

I had a flight scheduled to Las Vegas on Sunday with ATA. The original ticket was $381. I was up early at saw that all flights were cancelled. Fortunately, it was 4:30 am here on Oahu. I immediately rebooked on US Airways for $420.

I just checked the flights again now (1:47 pm HST) and the cheapest flight is over $1200. Obviously, most travellers returning home this weekend got the worst possible wake up call this morning.

Maybe the superferry is the way to go now.

I think that there are going to be some smokin' great flexchanges over the next 3-6 months.

Allegiant Air quitting Greensboro

My co worker said she went to the airport in Greensboro and went over to Allegiant Air to get tix for Orlando and they told her they were pulling out May 30th. I don't know if it' everwhere or just Greensboro. shaggy
