I found it was cheaper to drive from Toronto and fly out of Buffalo than to fly out of Toronto using Airmiles. The taxes were about $200 per ticket return to Orlando! Yeesh!

I just booked 5 FF tix on AA (JFK-MCO). They cost 25,000 miles and $5 a piece. I guess it was a bargain!

Are Canadian sirlines playing the dishonest shell game of claiming that a ''fuel surcharge'' is a tax like many European legacy airlines now are? There needs to be some consumer protection legislation to prevent this crooked practice!

If fuel costs more, then raise the fare! Don't flim-flam customers with phony taxes.

Not really too infomed on this but I do know Guadalajara is an expensive place to fly into, so maybe the taxes are higher. Just a thought, who knows....I'll be using Delta miles soon to fly out of Guad. to US so we will see what I get for taxes, I'll advise...
