Rumor on the street in Hampton and Chesapeake, VA gas will be around $4.00 per gal by summer. There is a shortage of regular and reg unleader fuel at many stores. All they have is high test gas $3.30 per gal. I hope this rumor is false.

It's not frivilous travel that is raising the gas prices to these levels, it's pure greed for profits.
While I think that we should try to conserve as much as possible for environmental reasons I don't believe that this will bring down prices.

Lowest I saw in the area today was $ 2.959, next lowest was several at $ 2.999 . About 1/3 of the stations were over $ 3.

Just crossed $3/gallon at "no name" stations in central NJ. No end in sight! I think I paid about that much in Aruba last summer to fill up the rental Yaris. Thought that was high priced...
