Last minute nowadays doesn't mean walking up to the pier on cruise day, laying your money down and going. The feds want your info at least a week ahead.
Try Vacations to Go for good deals under 90 days. There are a lot of short cruises really cheap out of Florida now...some on Travelocity or Expedia as well.
Working at a school I'd guess you want a weekender cruise of three days. Know that those cruises are a lot more "party oriented" than the four day ones that are midweek.

We always check the local paper for these deals which are very good compared to the websites offering deals, as they say. Since we live here in Florida & not that far away from the East coast to drive we find these deals to be excellent especially for a three day cruise! The only thing is you have to be a Florida resident of which you are, like Fern says tho these websites might be a good choice ifin ya aren't a Florida resident.~ Do What I Say, Not What I Do! ~
