Sad day for ff'ers - customer friendly airlines gobbled up on both sides of Atlantic

It is a sad day for frequent flyers as the most customer-friendly legacy airlines on both sides of the pond announced that plans had been finalized for customer-unfriendly airlines to gobble them up. Over here, BMI, the most generous ff program in Europe, will become part of distinctly less customer friendly Lufthansa, and on your side of the pond, NW wil be gobbled up by one of the two airlines on the cutting edge of destroying ff programs, Delta.

Hopefully, I will be able to ditch all of my World Perks and Diamond Club miles before they are devalued into Miles and More and SkyMiles.

If you have miles on NW or BMI, the theme should be ''BURN BABY BURN'' while the miles are still worth something.

I am seriously thinking of changing my FF credit cards to rebate cards instead. Oh man, I just had a brainstorm. I have wanted a Wii system, but do not want to spend the money. I wonder if there is a way that I can use my FF miles to purchase one. OK, gotta go check.
