  • Timeshare for Inauguration 2009

What do you think I should ask/get for my Wyndham Old Town Alexandria week 17-24Jan09 2BR/2BA sleeps 8 on the METRO. Everyone tells me the hotels are all full.

What about my 4th of July week?

I think you should ask $500, and rent it to me!

I think I rented from you once, and you gave me a good deal, but I can't afford to rent below cost.

I've had 88 inquiries since election night! In the months prior to that I'd had 50 earlier inquiries.

With special event like this, and a lot of high earn Liber come to town, how about $3000? It probably cheaper than the ticket they will paid for the ticket.

4th of July probably will not get you that high. I will probably ask $1500 or less.

But I have no idea about the rental market.

        Please let me know

ps. now I realize the 88 inqury must come from TS commuity. In that case, $3000 maybe too high. Can you just rent out at cost + some small return (like 10%) for the family sake?

What do you typically get for it?

I was thinking $2100 for inaugural week. $300/night for 2BDRMs is reasonable.

Would be an interesting auction to watch on ebay wouldn't it?

In the (OK, unlikely) event that you'd like to go with Jya-Ning's idea of cost + 10%, just to return the favor , please email me!

I'm thinking a 'good' rate for something this convenient and something this nice and something this big would be $3000+. I'll have to look at eBay as suggested and see what's happening. I do have bills coming due and ownership at OTA is not cheap.

88 from non-TS source!!! Although we are in a bad economic situation, if you can get more, please do so. This is historical than any other one (o.k. maybe G. Washington one is more historical, the other one will not be able to predict until the president die or end his term). I will think the only chance you can compete with it will be a Woman president. If you can not get more, TS will really not worth the ownership.

I guess I better stay at home or out of town with all the people try to jump in. Hi, maybe I can rent out my house.

Freaky - the number that jumped into my head was $3000. I actually think you can get more from general public.

I would love to be able to be in Washington that week, but unfortunately, I can't swing it. I'm leaving the following week for St. Thomas, and that will be a very busy for me.....I might try and sneak in a day, or so, tho. I can stay with a friend, if I can find the time.

                      What are the hotels charging?

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

search ebay using the word INAUGURATION under TRAVEL, REAL ESTATE, EVERYTHING ELSE. Many of the scalping hotel reservations that were under travel this morning for thousands have disappeared.

This trip didn't occur to me until Nov 5 (I couldn't let myself have *that* much hope). Between Nov 5 and today, most of the on-line hotels yes have been snapped up. I've currently got TWO hotel reservations, not great either one. Both are 4 nights beginning Sat 1/17. One's in Fairfax, 4 mi from a metro, at $66 Sat night and $190/nite Sun-Tues max 2 people - the other's a Hilton all the way down in Fredericksburg at $113/night, not bad, could sleep 4 people at a little extra $, but I don't think the commuter trains will be running, and I can't imagine what trying to park at a metro station would be like. Maybe we'll shave the trip down to fewer nights - or none at all.

(Lots of folks I know have spent down most of their discretionary income on campaign donations this year!)
