  • BWI Thanksgiving Holiday Travel

As Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI) prepares for the Thanksgiving holiday season, the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is advising travelers to allow plenty of time to check-in and go through security. More than 640,000 passengers are expected to fly through BWI during an 11-day period that began Friday, Nov. 21 and continues through Monday, Dec. 1, 2008.

We were at BWI Airport on Wed evening, the night before Thanksgiving around 8 PM. It was not nearly as crowded as we had expected. We rode the Complimentary BWI Car Rental Shuttle Bus up to the airport terminal and there was only one other person (an employee) on board. On the 8 minute return trip back to Car Rental Facility the (Black and Gray naural gas powered) Bus was full. Our driver helped holiday travelers with their luggage, but only a few tipped him. Both the BWI Airport and BWI Rental Car Facility are extremely nice. (BWI is located just outside Baltimore MD)

If you are flying in or out of BWI this Holiday Season, be sure to visit the
International Pier/Section to see the beautiful holiday trees & decorations.
