  • "Fall Colours." 2010.!!!

    Hello TS4MS,ers,
jimbosee,Melbourne,Australia.I am doing some early work on a trip for 2010,using a Circle Pacific Air Ticket.
    April,depart Melbourne for Bali
    September Bali to L/A(Transit)
    L/A to Mexico 14 nights.
Mexico to New Orleans 7 nights.
New Orleans to Hilton Heads 7 nights.
Hilton Heads to Charleston 4 nights
    Charleston to NYC 3 nights.
    --------------------------7 nights.
    To Las Vegas 7 nights.
Las Vegas to Hawaii,(Big Island) 7 nights.
    Return to Australia.

As you can see,I have left a week out after NYC.We want to see your magnificent Fall Colours, and I have us in position to do this ,
    from Friday October 8th.

My question.A)Do we go to one of the New England Counties???
B)Do we go to Wyoming, say Jacksons, where we have Yellowstone National Park,(huge bonus )for us,and Teton Ranges.

Given that you can never judge what nature will do,and all things being equal, will that date work?.Looking forward to your thoughts.Regards Jim Seeedsman

If you will be here October 8th onwards, I would go to Vermont, where the colors should be at their peak around that time.

Drive from NYC Vermont for a few days - ending up for 2-3 days in Boston - fly from Boston to Las Vegas.
Or if u have to fly out of NYC, go to Boston first (5 hour drive or fly) then up to Vermont and loop back to NYC.

It should be beautiful the second week of October.

Early/Mid October is late for summer and early for winter near Yellowstone I believe.
Maybe someone more familiar could comment on that area.

I agree with GrayFal. That time of year will be lovely in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.

From where I live, a little Northwest of Boston, it's about a 4 hour drive to the NYC airports. But instead of returning to NYC, you could fly from Boston, Manchester, NH, or Providence, RI.

        Enjoy!

I agree with falmouth3. You should get a transient trip in the UK. I've tried to do that and I wish we stayed longer.
