While checking for another thread a couple hours ago I saw $19 fares on Allegiant from Monterey to Vegas.

We booked a trip in July for a trip to Cancun 01/09. We paid $638 each from O'Hare, which means we pay rental car and hotel on each end of the trip (~$300) since we have a 3 hr. drive. Fare from Chicago is now $438 and from Peoria I have seen <$500. Oh well!
Give me a place with 4 S's: Sun, sand, surf, & suds-Dale (from Illinois)

My parents flew a few weeks ago from Bellingham, which is between the Canadian border and Seattle, and Reno for $28 each way. There are $28 flights to Vegas from Bellingham in early January. My husband won't go - I'm thinking of asking a friend and leaving him a note.

          Dear Husband:

You know George, the guy you golf and go fishing with . . .

This morning I booked flights from New York to Orange County, CA for $273RT on American for Easter week. I have never seen anything that low to that airport and I have been flying out there constantly for almost 25 years. I almost always fly to LAX for the lower fares.

Yes it has a change of planes in DFW (with an hour lay-over) but for that kind of price I will gladly do that to land in little John Wayne Airport when my final destination is DelMar.

We got non-stop from Minneapolis to Sacramento (for our Aug Napa wine trip) for only $259 ea. I have seen dates 1-2 days on either side or other airports in the area that would have been $100-150 more per ticket. When I booked those flights, and no one was looking, I was doing the banana dance.
