  • Booked 2 FF first class trips using Delta

If using Amex to Delta points , First register on Delta to get a 20 % bonus miles then wait 3 days to transfer. You will not get your bonus miles right away but you should get them in under a month. link to register for the bonus is https://www.delta.com/marketing/mrqu...=0309delta.com . I was able to book LGA to Cancun First / Business class for 80,000 miles each for Presidents week and I do not fly into Mexico city
Next trip LGA to Miami in May / June for our 25 th using 45.000 miles each.

2 trips and it was as easier than ever before.

Keep checking the point value droped for my Mexico trip and they seem to add extra flights some times if you revise it again.

I played with it for a while. My outbound flight is almost sold out, I guess I was lucky to use miles at all. I ended up only being able to use miles for two tix, had to pay $ for one. The transfer fees weren't worth it.

Did you look at first class. I found the flights I booked for Miami for 7500 more points for first class than what is cost for a standard FF ticket.

didn't even occur to me... I will look now...
dang... well my flight is 12,500 more for first class, and I don't have enough miles for three tickets, and to buy one first class seat is $1600, so that's out. BUT I could give up the nonstop and fly first class on two legs for a few less miles...

Decisions, decisions.... I think I'll keep what I've got, since the nonstop flight always needs volunteers and I am out of vouchers. It's also a terrible weather week to risk a second leg if we don't have to - we've had friends miss the whole trip due to foulups at their connecting airports, and we got stuck in DC for two nights on the way home a few years ago.
