I've been using the same wrist bands for almost 10 years. I just bought a new set. They are elasticized bands and the little plastic nub is held against a pressure point that the product insert shows you how to locate.

It's only failed me once - on a whale watching trip in rough water.

BTW, at the drugstore, they are located with the motion sickness pills.

The MotionEaze folks have a website and will ship. When I called, the guy told me where to get them locally to save me the overnight shipping (it was short notice). I got it at West Marine, a chain near me, not sure where else they have stores, but here's the website:

Depending on how severe the person gets motion sickness ginger root capsules may work.

My wife uses those bands for the wrist and says they work for her.
I am lucky and don't get seasick since my first trip out in Coast Guard when I was 17.

I'd forgotten until someone mentioned ginger. We took a sunset cruise in Hawaii and I'd faithfully worn my wrist bands but it was pretty choppy and I did get sick. They had some ginger candy which worked amazingly well. It got rid of my symptoms I keep forgetting that I want to buy some. I think I read that they have it at Trader Joes. Maybe I'll stop by and get some this week just to have in my purse.

I travel with a group and 1 of the women gets motion sickness. Since a lot of our travel is by bus she buys ginger at the drug store and says it works well. Don't know specifically what ginger product but if anyone wants to know I can ask her,

                              Ginger Snaps

My wife also keeps a box of ginger snap cookies next to the bed and eats one or two before she gets up in the morning. She's pregnant, but those are pretty much the same symptoms as being sea sick. That with the bands has really helped. And ginger snap cookies are yummy!
