  • Delta, Northwest & Frontier Airline Reticketing

I read the write up on their websites, but it was confusing. What is the charge for reticketing international flights? Can you cancel and then use the money at a later time for a ticket as long as it is before the one year from purchase date, or do you need to reticket immediately? We have flights from Nashville and St. Louis on Delta, Detroit on Northwest and Kansas City on Frontier, all to Cancun Memorial Day Weekend. The Swine Flu has us worried and we are looking at options.

For NW the charge varies. $100-$150 per ticket is common. The value of the ticket minus the charge can be used for any flight within one year of the original purchase date.

However, I vaguely recall hearing today that some airlines are offering waivers for Mexico travel---call the airlines and ask.
