Screwed up in Freeport

Altho I normally think of me as a savy traveler I was put to my knees while I was in Freeport, Bahamas. I thought I was doing everything right , (2 hrs ahead for international flight)

The cab driver let me off at the airport with a cheery and heartfelt thanks for coming to the Bahamas !! Were you aware there was another airport/terminal apx 7 miles down the road? Because I was going from Freeport to Nassau to Charlotte to Greensboro I should have been left at the "local" airport not the international one.

Just a thumbs up to check this out. Oy what a day. Go to travel tales to hear the whole rigamarole. I can laugh now. It was definitly a "shaggy"

For a moment there I thought you had bought a Freeport Timeshare, blue-white season, to boot !!

I did that in Italy but I knew that I screwed up when I booked the flights. I had to go from one airport grab a cab and get to the other airport in under an hour. It cost me 60 Euros but we just made it.

On one trip to Cancun, we (my buddy, myself and our wives) took a limo to the airport and if my buddy's wife hadn't noticed we went by the exit for Laguardia we may have gone to another airport.
