Your second mistake will be to pay some lawyer a retainer fee upfront to get this class action lawsuit going. I hope your purpose of posting here is not to get more OL owners involved to share the cost of the lawsuit.

Yes, it is long enough isn't it? It's in the FAQ link above every page. That's how I found it today after searching didn't work.

FYI Post no.78 was reported and received an infraction. Any other personal attacks can also be reported as we don't read all the posts.

Yep, that's her only purpose. Google (her email- actual address removed)

An infraction is much less severe than what a judge would have given her in a court of law. They need to find a law firm that is good in prepping their witnesses.

I frankly think TS Forums and TUG and knowledgeable people who post to the complaint sites accomplish more than any lawsuit ever will. Law can only accomplish so much. The more people understand that buying Timeshares is like buying a new car (in that the moment you drive it off the lot it loses value, and that you can generally get one second hand that's just as good), and the more people understand the benefits and limitations of timeshares, the less unscrupulous salespeople can get away with. So I applaud people for speaking up, but I'm less enthused about people encouraging others to throw good money after bad. YMMV.

These forums have been going for what now, 17 years???, the same lies are still being told, and a few new ones, and folks still believe them, just like many of us did.

The Internet is handy in that it makes it easier to find stuff about the liars lying about their lies.

Yep. I have seen a lot of people purchase, then come here or elsewhere well within the rescission period. Some of them were checking things out because they were nervous - others got nervous as they were checking things out. As more people grow up using the Internet as a regular resource, more people are going to get the information they need.

Seventeen years ago, I was still dialing up individual BBSs. TS4M and TUG may have been up, but not all computer-users were using the internet. But according to Wikipedia, it's estimated that three fourths of Americans had in-home Internet access by 2004. I think that's going to make a huge difference long term.

Of course, used car salespeople still rip people off, and the word has been long out on them. I'm not arguing that getting the information out will keep everyone who deals with an unscrupulous TS salesperson safe. But I do think the percentage harmed is going to go down, and it's going to go down because people are getting the information out there.

I agree. Particularly when the plaintiff carries the burden of proof and has nothing but oral arguments, whereas the defendant has a mountain of signed legal documents. Frankly, I think there are cheaper and more effective means the OP could employ to achieve their goal.

My intentions were to find more people who have been scammed by OLR. It’s isn’t like that wasn’t clear from the beginning. Regardless of whether or not you want to believe it, there are many of us. Some of you have been very kind and gave your opinions on the situation. Others have made it very clear that we are not welcome on this site. Thank You for your comments and opinions. Good luck to you and I hope you enjoy your timeshare vacations. We however can no longer waste our time and efforts arguing our situations any longer. That was not the point of starting this post.

Pit, If I am not mistaken you are not allowed to post someone else’s email on here.

Of course there is no penalty for posting private information by posting an email that was originally posted by the person who has that email. (edit-comment)

                        Don't feel bad.

I have done something similar lately, but with more than 10 years on Internet timeshare forums, and others forum, I knew to do it more discretely and not force the issue if interest wasn't there.

In your case, I sense interest is there, somewhere, and you need to just keep throwing that lure out until you find it. It is frustrating and wasteful to continue mto work the fished out spot.

I learned close to ten years ago that timeshare forums are not consumer-advocates. They are visited primarily by those who like timesharing.

I have PMed you, and others, things that would help you.

                          • Stick Orange Lake in here. Then try Westgate.

Also, I have sensed in this thread, and before, the feeling that the Florida AG is reluctant to take on the timeshare, vacation and travel industries. Here's some of their active cases:
