  • Has Anyone Dealt With International Timeshare Network?

    Hi there,

I'm relatively new to owning timeshare (bought last summer in Gatlinburg) - We received a call from Katherine at International Timeshare Network about selling our timeshare. I believe they are located near Orlando in Longwood? They told us corporations buy from them all the time, and offered much more than we paid... I was skeptical & searching the web when I found your website. Just wondering if anyone has had good experiences with them? They are charging $1,999 with a guarantee, and say they are members of ARDA. Any advice would be helpful, thank you in advance.

RUN don't walk away from anyone that wants upfront money

These companies are very good at parting you from your money, then you will never ever hear from them again.

Never pay an upfront fee. You and your money will be parted and you will still own the timeshare. Corporations do not buy timeshares, why would they?

I did deal with International Timeshare Network

        Hello,

I did deal with International Timeshare Network about 4 months ago and did have a great experiance. I did try to sell my timeshare in Orlando about a year ago and did not have a good experiance to say the least. After doing some research this time on ITN I was not able to find anything bad about there company or employees. With much sceptacism I gave International Timeshare a chance. I have done extensive research into timeshare resale and rental companies and have found that many and I meen many do not do a good job for their clients but there are some out there that do what they say. Thankfuly I did make the right decision this time on the company to go with. International Timeshare did sell my orlando property for a little less than what it was listed for but plenty to get me out and close enough for comfort. I would recomend this company if you want to get rid of your timeshare. I think that you need to do your research if you want to sell or rent your timeshare because what I have learned is what I said earlier. There are a lot of bad companies but some are good so just make the right decision and you should get the results you are looking for. I came accross this blog while trying to find a place to stay in olando this year and just wanted to put my two cents in. Thank you for your time and thank you to ITN for actually doing what you said.

While anything is possible it is highly unlikely this is a true customer and very high probability that this is a shill set up to help promote them (and take your money).

My advice? Avoid them and NEVER pay more than 50-75 dollars for any ad to sell your timeshare (which in the end is all they are actually going to do). All the other red flags are there: Too high a price being offered, a bogus guarantee that you could never collect on & the infamous "corporations buying" line.

This is a scam 99.99% certain. Stay away.

Here's the pattern: First time poster asks about some company that charges an upfront fee to sell their timeshare. They are skeptical and are trying to do their due diligence. Then a short time later another first time poster claims to just happen to come across this site and that they did in fact use the company in question and everything turned out great. We see it all the time and it's always a scam.

                  International Timeshare Network

These guys just called me today....
wanted $1500 up front, but was willing to give me a 30% discount because I am an RCI member, still $1050? He wasnt willing to let me pay the 1500 after I got my $ from the offers....said that was illegal, only licensed realestate brokers can collect a commission.

I told him I dont have $1K laying around.
He gave me the same song and dance about corporations buying up timeshares they have and that I would get offers of $2300 for what ever my 25K points can offer.

Sounded too good to be true.

He was having me google the company to prove there were no scam entries as results...he skipped right over the result that came back that lead me to this site and this thread...how convenient....

He got pushy when I told him I would have to talk to my wife and then call him back. he said that if i waited, their inventory would be all full and I would loose out. he claimed there was a 7 day money back if I decided to back out.

Trust no one i suppose is the good advice right?

They called you - wrong way already

Trust no one - especially those that contact you by phone to ask you to pay for what they claim to have "sold". They skipped over this site as they know the jig is up if you read the posts here.

                    Do not deal with them.

yeah, I never called him back.
My wife and I do want to sell our time share as we find we just dont use it, we used it once. didnt even stay at the place, used the points to stay somewhere else instead.

after looking around on this site, it looks like selling these things is pretty difficult if we want to get any real money back for it.

Ok, so this guy from ITN has called me again. I told him that I didnt get to talk to my wife last night, which is completely true, so no decision was made thus far. I then asked him for references from people who have rented out their points with his company and he wasnt too crazy on the idea. he said he had some, but he didnt want to bother them. he said he would get them if that was the only thing keeping me from doing business with them.

so, i will talk with maggie tonight and then call him and let him know.

he said his company is creditable and showed me all kinds of websites that back him up. but like i said skipped this site. anyone can make a site and have it say anything they want. at the same time, he can have another phone operator pretend to be a past client and have them say all kinds of great things about their past experience with ITN even if its all fake.
just amazing how this guy is pushing so hard. but I suppose I would be aggressive too if it was a nice $1000 coming in.

                          I did this!

Most of you posting are wrong. International timeshare network did sell 3 of my properties. Most companies are scams but if you do research on them and thats easy to find out. I did research on ITN and they are bonded and insured, there is not one bad thing I could find about them anywhere. Not only did they sell my properties withen 45 days but they got me the price they said they would and they helped me get money back from the two other companies that scammed me. I paid them them 4500 upfront and they did an amazing job. this is the only company I reccomend.

Anyone that pays an upfront fee to sell their timeshare is just throwing their money away. This is another obvious first time shill poster.

Could you point us to the proper resorts/counties where they have sold your 3 timeshares so we can verify the deed & transfer? Very easy now days to see if a sale is done or not right on line so if you were successful on three we'd love to see it!

All we need is the resort, county/state, your name & its very easy to verify. Thanks
