    ITN scammers like the rest

Ok so i got a phone call almost a year ago( give or take a few months) from a group called global resorts managment. I payed 495 for the guaranteed sale for my Westgate Lakes timeshare. I was reluctant and said no at first after trying to dismiss the sales rep he passed me off to another gentleman named shane dixon who was rude but wouldn't let me off the phone until i agreed to at least see the package. desperate to find a way out i paid only for no result. Funny thing is in the last week of November 2010 i got a call from another person who was from the website internationaltimesharenetwork.com. After refusing to commit to making the same mistake i was transferred over to Shane Dixon! I was shocked!!! I researched this company more and found this right on the company page!

    1. ITN is not involved in any negotiation for sale/rent, closing or procuring of buyers; and ITN forwards all inquiries about your vacation property directly to you.

I was told that my only job was to say yes or no obviously by this statement i have to negotiate and sell it they are just giving my number away to whoever inquires.

    2. International Timeshare Network cannot and does not appraise the value or rental price of your timeshare property. The sales or rental price of your property has been established by you, the owner, and International Timeshare Network has made no representations as to the sales/rental price that you may receive.

I was told that my timeshare would sell at a guaranteed price almost double what i paid for my timeshare in the first place. When i asked how this was possible i was fed some line. I then asked to price it at a more realistic rate and the sales rep responded by saying let me list it at what we know we can sell it for.

    3. International Timeshare Network does not specifically advertise your timeshare in our advertising program. Your advertisement is on intnltimesharenetwork.com web site, but not specifically on the other advertisements.
We do not specifically go to your resort to show your property, and are unable to personally assist you in the sale/rental of your timeshares. Our staff can and will assist potential buyers/renters in finding a suitable timeshare from our advertising listings.

I was told that my property would be represented face to face at "this weekends event" at trade shows and that my property would be flagged to sell faster.

    4. International Timeshare Network has made no representations as to the period of time that it will take to sell or rent your timeshare, the success rate of our advertising program, or the sales/rental price that you may receive.

Again the price was set by the sales rep, i was guaranteed no more than 6 months but was assured my location sells faster.

5.Right of cancellation is SEVEN (7) days from date of contract and/or credit card receipt.

Most of us know that if you pay with a card you can dispute the charges well beyond this timeframe. I got my money back from global 7 months after listing.

AGAIN this is all found on internationaltimesharenetwork.com legal disclosures and terms pages

      Help!!

Ok, I am new, and I hear all of you say do not pay up front costs, which I will never do. I want however to sell my two weeks at a marriott resort in Palm Springs and do not know how to go about it. I also know I will not make much money if any, just interested in getting out of two weeks that we never use. How would you go about this???? Thanks for any help you all could give.

Timeshares are a tough sell and you will get very little money for most of them. If you pay some con artist an upfront fee to sell them for you, you will lose that money and the timeshare will not sell. Try advertising on a free or low fee site or on Ebay. Research and find what the recent sales prices have been- prices vary from resort to resort and week to week.

Thanks for the information. Just trying to get rid of the weeks not make any money. Need to get rid of the deeds .Cost me more each year in taxes and fees than the actual useage we are getting out of them. For what I pay each year in prop. tax and fees the family could go anywhere on vacation.

I believe they are located near Orlando in Longwood? They told us corporations buy from them all the time, and offered much more than we paid... I was skeptical & searching the web when I found your website. Just wondering if anyone has had good experiences with them? They are charging $1,999 with a guarantee, and say they are members of ARDA. Any advice would be helpful, thank you in advance.
Back in November International Timeshare Network contacted me and guaranteed they could rent out my Wyndham points within 3 months, but needed $1,000 to market them. Six months later I have had no response and feel I threw my money away.

they were pushy but it worked

I felt worked at first and have been burned before. I did my research though, and ITN was the best one as far as i could see. Any way long story short, They didn't sell it for me, because I understand they aren't realestae agents, but the advertising worked out and I just sold my TS for a little less then advertised. No bones to pick by me.

Been up there since May though... just saying I thought it would have been faster. Paid enough for it. Crazy part is... It was much more expensive (the reps recomended option) then what I paid before, but i guess exposure is everything.

Now that I found tis site, bring on the TS's, going to poke around for a new one.

                    toodles

I love points (well naturally if you like TS's) but I will have to get busy and build these babies. this is just the first window i saw and conveniently I just got done with ITN, but now I think I might see what they can show me to buy... haha.

                        Information for readers..

Unfortunately, shill posts are common on forum discussions.. Often, a "company" which may have a questionable history or methods will have individuals (known as shills) post comments to try and create the impression of validity to readers.

Shills are normally easy to identify, since they are often brand new posters and offer no contribution other than to attempt to support the possible scam company. Also, it is not unusual for the shills IP address to come from the same location as the company- or be used to create multiple online personalities to try and create legitimacy.

The reason for this smoke and mirrors routine is that established forums rank very high in search engine results, and by creating rumors of success- these groups may hope to drive traffic to their scam. If you search this "company", you will find that the Timeshare Forums discussion shows up either right below or above the actual website for the company- which means that individuals being targeted by this possible timeshare scam can easily locate this discussion and read the warnings posted here!

If you are interested in either selling or renting an unwanted timeshare, start by spending weeks simply reading and learning as much as possible. Do not spend ANY money to advertise until you have a good understanding of how the secondary market actually works and have gained enough knowledge to protect yourself from the numerous scams and consumer fraud that permeate timeshare resales.

This website generously allows members to post free ads in the freebies section for timeshare giveaways, and also allows a free classified ad after a few posts. Because of the high visibility of these forums, these classifieds can be a fantastic and FREE way to sell or rent an unwanted timeshare week!

Finally, if you believe that this site has been of help to you- either by giving you information to help protect you from timeshare scams and consumer fraud or by sharing knowledge of how to use your timeshare to get the most value from your vacation ownership- then please return the favor and make a donation to help keep this website active! I lost $1,000 from ITN. They guaranteed they would rent my timeshare. Their guarantee is worthless. I have nothing good to say of them.

I had went with ITN back in August of this year, and it has been two months. I do keep in contact with them on a regular basis, and at least can get thru to a live person when I call. I have tried a couple of other companys before but couldn't ever get thru to them, be it because they were ducking me or shut there doors. I finally received my call on the rental of my property just this past week. I have had a very good experience with ITN. I was getting a little worried at first because of all the internet frenzy, but I believe that there are still good people and good companys out there to really help people in need. Pleased and satisfied customer.

I just checked the last 2 favorable posters and they both are from Florida- the home of timeshare cons and the company in question. They even had the same internet provider. Don't believe good things you hear from new posters---they are likely shills.

The Better Business Bureau has 4 complaints and an alert about this company and according to the BBB they are assumed to be out of Business as their phones have been disconnected.

                              Shilling doesn't pay here.

Wow. Based on the date of these posts ... this scam has been going on for a while. I recently heard from these people, ITN. I have a 2-bedroom timeshare condo in Orlando, FL. Owned it for about 4-years. Bought it per-construction; paid 1/3 of what the unit eventually sold for after construction.

ITN gave me the song and dance about the corporations and fast money I would make. I wondered if all they really did was nothing more than post my condo on something like Craig's List. In return they asked for $1450 ... then $1300 ... then $1000. Finally, two payments of $650 ... one before; the other after the sale. I charged it on the ole VISA. I had forgotten the advice I'd given someone else not 6-months ago. Always check these types of companies out on the internet before you get involved with them.

I did that later on and found some complaints about ITN. Since I had not sent them a signed contract, they could not accept the $650 still pending on my VISA. I called to cancel and they offered me two payments; $300 now ... $350 after the unit is sold. Hmmm. Tasty. But I thought to myself, $300 is still too much money for them to do nothing more than post my timeshare condo for rent on their website ... then cross my fingers and hope for the best. I declined. It's now over. The End.
