I know this may be old news and bits and pieces may be found scattered in other forums, but I have had a bad experience with the Velas Vallarta in Puerto Vallarta. The story's been told before.......the lies of being able to rent out the weeks and no 5-day right to rescission. My experience goes back to October of 2006. When you tell them that you cannot afford the timeshare they come back with how you can rent out your weeks and all will be ok. Right! For anyone thinking of traveling to Mexico, one piece of advice: avoid asking ANYONE questions at the airport. Before you know it they'll have you inline signing up for cheap tours and a free brunch. That's when the lies start. Do yourself a favor............don't buy a timeshare in Mexico! And especially stay away from any of the Velas Resorts! I just started a Facebook Causes page: Velas Resorts Scam | causes.com to try and force these people in to giving me my money back. Timeshares are fine if you intend to use them and if they are sold for that purpose. But the rental aspect is a SCAM!! and doesn't work. Write me....... VelasResortsScam@gmail.com
