  • Possible timeshare scam opinion

I'm new here but just recently I have had 2 companies in the New York area offer to purchase my timeshare. The first one wanted me as the seller to come up with $1000 to close so I walked away. This new one called me out of the blue and said they have a buyer and are sending over a contract with no money due from me, just a copy of my driver's license and that I get an attorney do transfer title.
Has anyone gone through this before? I have had my timeshare on bidshares and a couple other free sites . Just wanting opinions on if this is real or not.
    Thanks in advance
    Jim

Always assume a con for timeshare unless proven otherwise.

Sorry, but you haven't really provided enough info.. If you would like, send me a private message with your property details and I'll tell you an approximate value of what the current market will bear.. If the "offer" you are getting is way above those numbers, then it is very likely a scam and you are simply waiting for the next call which will tell you where to send your money!

Regardless, I wish you the best of luck.. You might try posting ads in the classifieds here. (I've had better luck here than on bidshares).
