  • Scam alert- International Timeshare Unlimited and Joseph Ramos

Last Resort: Gift card holder will have to wait in line for iPhone - OrlandoSentinel.com

The link to the column is above- but his response was funny enough I pasted it here as well.. Funny- but very very sad..

Dear Greg: I live in Canada and have timeshares here. In May, I received a call from International Timeshare Unlimited (ITU) in Oviedo. A representative named Vivian said they had a buyer for one of my timeshares even though I had not registered with them. I got a contract with all the phone numbers, location, etc. I gave my Visa credit card information and a $1,923 registration fee was charged to my card. Last week I got a phone message to call ITU because there was a problem with my payment. I called the number and it was disconnected. I then went online to look up the address, and there is no company at that address ion Oviedo. Have you heard about this kind of [thing]?

Dear Mary: Sadly, yes. Such schemes are common as cockroaches in Florida – which really is an insult to roaches. All the phone numbers for ITU are disconnected, and it has an "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau. I could find neither hide nor hair of Joseph B. Ramos of Orlando, listed as the registered agent for ITU on sunbiz.org, the state's online corporate site. Sorry I couldn't save your Canadian bacon.
