Timeshare complaints increase this summer
It's decent general info describing some of the common scams, but doesn't really provide anything other than lip service as it doesn't provide much real advice or help..
The link at the bottom goes to an earlier release that gives a little more info, but is still pretty limited..
At least I guess it's promising that they are at least mentioning the issues of timeshare scams.. Hopefully- they'll follow the Florida AG and start to actively target these companies..
If you live in Ohio and feel that you have been wronged by a timeshare related business, you can file a complaint here:
File a Complaint
The best advice to timeshare owners is still just take your time, do your research (these forums are an incredible asset), and simply use common sense.. Don't pay large upfront fees to sell or rent- regardless of what the upfront fees are called.. It's always smart to talk with a respected broker to get an opinion of value so you have an estimate of what your ownership is actually worth on the resale market. If you can't find a broker you trust, feel free to send me a private message and I'll be happy to either help you directly, or provide you with a referral who can.. etc.. etc.. etc..
If you are reading this and other pages on this website- you have already gotten off to a great start!
