My husband and I were cheated and lied to by the La Jolla group in Mazatlan. We should have stayed put in our beautiful timeshare exchange through RCI at the Emerald Bay... but our greed for the pesos they offered got the best of us. The deal sounded too good to be true, and it was. It was all a lie. We lost $9,000 and feel totally stupid. That was Dec. 2010. Our advice... DO NOT GO THERE. DO NOT TRUST THEM!

Oh, that's too bad!! Have you found a solution yet? It is still possible to cancel the contract. You should take a look to this article: (URL deleted as advertising) that's how my hunsband and i canceled a contract we had at the Mayan Palace in Mazatlan, and we also got our money back. Hope it can be useful for you too

Like you, my wife and I were scammed by La Jolla. They promised us to take over two of our timeshares which they would pay for at what now appears to be more than the market price. They also promised a travel program that gave us huge opportunities to travel at a bargain price. For this we paid them $20,000. The money was to be returned to us. It wasn't. I am convinced now it is a scam, a hoax. These people, including Afredo Marcq and Francisco Kelly, are crooks, thugs, and scam artists.
I want to start a law suit against them. I want to find other people who are willing to join this suit to attempt to recover our money. I want to take them to court. If you were scammed, please let me know when, for how much, and how to get back in touch with you. At this point, you do not have to give your name. I have no idea if these people are dangerous to us, but I think it is important that we protect our privacy for now.
