I was investigating this company online and found that theres a lot of interesting info that comes off bogus. Wanted to know if anyone had any experience or could perhaps educate me on some things and confirm my findings.

First off it seems the company is doing its diligence to cover up bad reviews by issuing websites and pages with the word scam and complaint to water down the bad.

The second part is from what I can tell a little more aggressive is there testimonial page. It shows a lot of great testimonials as well there is a blog out there stating how in 6 months this and that. Is it ok for a company to post possible fake testimonials. I thought I remember reading that this is deceptive fraud.

Upon finding that the website/company just got started 3 months ago? Hmm what do you think?

Im asking a question but also simply alerting you guys and the world that this is what is going on with this company. *sigh*

Thank you for posting the warning.. I've also issued a possible scam alert about this group after getting an email from a reader.

They have now removed the ARDA logo from the website, but still show the logo for Timeshare Transfers- which is there without permission according to an employee of that closing company.

Smells bad...SMA Timeshare

I got a call from a telemarketer, he made promises to guarantee the rental of my timeshare weeks for a great price in 30-45 days and full refund of their fees if they failed to rent it. Then he shocked me by asking me for my Visa to pay the $900 fee before ever seeing the contract with his verbal guarantees written in. So, I did some research.....they provide a sample contract, none of the guarantees I was expecting are listed. In fact the company isn't even a brokerage, they only advertise and market. I called the company whose logo is on the bottom of their website, Timeshare Transfers, and Joyce told me that her company had no affiliations with SMA. So I called the company back, couldn't access the extension I was given, spoke to another person, who admitted that the agent Matthew Bowling had provided false info. He still wanted me to pay the $900 and wait for the contract in my email. He insisted that it was good business practice to charge me for a service his company would not put in writing, until I paid. Smells scammy to me. Got a bad taste in my mouth.

There are a lot of scammers out there copying legitimate company logos onto their websites. Smart to check.

Thanks for the information. I read this a bit too late, a couple of months after I signed up with them.

Its true they are advertisers and marketeers, but It's not actually a bad deal. I got a few calls here and there, most of them are LOW ballers jeez, but at least I see that people find it somehow and they must be doing their end of the deal... i hope this economy picks up so I can at least get something for what its worth and get rid of my timeshare man.

btw, I got attracted to this page. No complaints so far but take it with a grain of salt guys

There are very few timeshares where an offer to buy is a low ball amount. Considering many people pay 3-4k for someone to take a timeshare off their hands, many timeshares have no value. Scam artists still tell people they can get many thousands of dollars for a timeshare that other people are happy to give away. Con artists love people with a little greed---it's easier to fleece them.
