  • Young girl killed at Orange Lake Resort- possible electrocution

I hate these stories. Looks like there was a horrible accident that took the life of an eleven year old girl staying at Orange Lake. Say a prayer for all the family's involved..

            Yes, way sad.

So, of course, no OLCC comments from me.

The medical examiner ruled just 10 minutes ago: electrocution

Is the mini-golf owned by the developer, or is it considered part of the common area with shared ownership by all the interval owners? That will make a difference on who pays for the lawsuit. You would also have to assume that there are most likely high deductibles on liability policies in place.. If this goes to a trial- good luck finding a jury that isn't anti-timeshare..

Everything at OLCC has always been owned by the developer, well, until now. Maybe they will let Timetraveler Vicky have the mini-golf course.

Still trying to be reverent . . . but, when you accomodate and turn over the population of a large town/small city, every week, there are risks.

I often wonder how these amounts are decided. $27 million will never make up for what happened.
