    ripped off

i was one of the stupid ones! I was so blinded by the money that i was told i would receive, i would have probably paid double. Once realizing that this was a stupid mistake I charged back and lost the dispute because i had signed the agreement and sent it back. So, i kind of feel lost.

I was told that this company used to be Resort VP... Does anyone know if this is correct?

I just looked at their website. The prices they list the timeshares for are outrageous! They are never going to sell anything at those prices--but I can see if people think they are going to get that kind of money, and they don't really read the "guarantee" which is no guarantee at all, just a "free" trip if you don't sell, how they could be tempted to pay the $695 thinking they are going to be getting back thousands $$. Another ripoff company.

        SCARRY!!!!

I joined The Timeshare Space after receiving a postcard in the mail from them a few months back, from their website they look professional and have a commercial. After weeks of trying to get some kind of information from them I turned to the internet to get information about them and found this forum last night. After seeing that i probably got taken for my $795 I called a friend in Orlando to go stop by their office and see how things looked (any clients there, if they have a showroom, if they were dressed like they were going to go meet with clients, etc.) So he went and stopped by... to find out their "office" is a converted house in the ghetto! My friend said that this is an area that he usually avoids at all costs full of drug dealers and criminals. When he went to the office he said he was confronted at the door, there were 6 or 7 people all standing right inside the doorway, they told my friend to take his hands out of his back pockets and then 2 of them kind of pulled up their shirts showing him that they had guns. The manager (possibly) came out and asked my friend repetedly how he found them. He never even explained that he was there to check them out for me but i don't blame him. I'm just glad he's ok!

i am now going to go post this anywhere that i possibly can!!!!!!!

We have had a good time with our timeshares (yes, we have a couple) over the years, but it is now time to....well, get rid of them. I've heard that if I quit paying the maint fee, bad/ugly legal things will happen, so what is a person to do?
Our timeshares are quality units and I would think someone who is in the market for that kind of vacationing would want them. Any ideas???
          You have several choices
          1. Talk to people you know, someone may like to take it over
          2. Donate to a Charity
          3. sell on eBay start with $1
          4. Talk to HOA, some HOA will take the week back, some will not
          5. There are companies that willing to sell TS but will charge you a commison, but it is after the sell went through. Howebver, if you TS is worth too little, they may want money in front.
          6. There are eBay seller ad that they can take over your TS from you. They will not pay you any money

You may want to wach on eBay to make a reasonable assumption what your week can get. If you find a lot of times none takes similar week. You may want to consider those post card compay, but thy will require you pay them over $3,000 to start with.

You will need to find some good closing company if you can find success from 1. to 4.

So, what was the final outcome? It's been 3 months i.e. ~ 3 months since your initial posting.

            Thanks for the update,

Best guess would be as was said: "...everything falls through...".

Never pay an upfront fee to a reseller.

                Phone number cross reference

I got the calls today and the good news is that after some searching I found this bad news thread on Timeshare spaces. Anyway, I just wanted to post the phone numbers they are using to help others find this thread.

Caller ID: Time Share Space 407-293-2056
                Callback Number: 866-834-4820

                    Funny!!

My wife and I just purchased Timeshare in Las Vegas at the Westgate Planet Hollywood Towers... Not 3 weeks after we purchased it we got a call from The Time Share Space and get this.. They offered us $42,000 for our 2br.
I was like this is too good to be true.. they then said we needed to pay $800 up front for closing costs.

I told them that I would get back to them... then I searched for them on the net and the first thing I found was this thread...

                    How Ironic

DO NOT....I REPEAT DO NOT USE THEM.

I just received a phone call from them asking me to rent my timeshare. The following warning signs:
First - I was in a hurry and asked for her number, she then repeatedly said "why would you want my phone number?"
Second - She said that there are huge companies lining up to rent your timeshare and that I needed to make a huge decision now.
Third - She said she was meeting these companies in 45 minutes but prior to that she said she was closing in half an hour.
Fourth - She then asked me what kind of units I have, I told her a three bedroom unit (which was a test. I actually have a studio and 1 bedroom unit) and then she said "oh that's what I have on my record as well."

I was getting fed up by her pushiness that I told her to call me tomorrow. All these warning signs came just in that one phone call from her.

The next day she phoned, she was absolutely rude and accused me of treating my parents poorly because I didn't want to go through with this. She then said I am wasting my parents money (Which is another lie. I'm actually the one who is paying for the timeshare for my parents). To which I responded "Then my answer is a definite NO" and hung up the phone.

Please be careful guys. She also wanted my address upfront which I refused. I've seen too much in the technology industry to just give away my information.
