Another thread got me thinking that we potential marks for sales have been seriously breaching proper etiquette for quite awhile. After all the effort and time your friendly, glad handing sales person (and his cohorts) put in trying to make a terrible purchase seem like a deal we just take our gifts and go home. What are we thinking? Where is that thank you note?
From now on if you attend a pitch be courteous and take the few minutes needed to write a nice thank you to your kind sales person. Be sure to get the name and the general address of the sales center. A post card is really all you need or a letter will also do. Address it to the general mail box so the upper ups are sure to see it. Be gracious and thank him/her by ame SO MUCH for pointing out the resale market during your presentation. Say that thanks to that information you were able to find the exact same resort and use time he.she was offering for less than 10% of the price! As you never knew resale existed that information was invaluable and you are so appreciative that it was discussed. If it hadn't een for the great presentation and information on resales you'd be wasting money on small hotel rooms rather than enjoying luxury accommodations you now own from a bargain resale purchase. How can we ever say enough thanks?
Should make for interesting meetings as a few of those heartfelt cards and letters start arriving in the local Weasel dens.
