I stayed at the Wyndham Cypress Palms last week. they made us go to a desk to get our parking pass. The people in front of us booked a tour. We were not asked, just had to fill out our name and address, we never received a call, a note on our door, or any notice about talking to anyone about Wyndham.

When I went to ts tour of Wyndham in MB I asked if he was doing ok with sales as people are cutting back and he said no, they were looking to add 15 more sales people. He said the sales are really great. Also, he said he wasn't on commission, they did away with that but that they get bonus for doing well. Yeah, right, I don't think I just fell off the turnip truck. shaggy

We were at Cypress Palms and had the owner update. We weren't updated on anything. I did get the new Member's Directory and $75. We had bought a resale and they tired to tell us that we are the bottom of the reservation list and will most likely not get into a timeshare during a prime time. Well, I got this reservation for our Easter Break and I have another at Star Island for Christmas week. So I feel I'm doing pretty well. I have been able to get almost anything as long as I had 3 to 4 months to reserve. They wanted to know why I came to the update and I told them I wanted the $75 and book. They kind of just looked at me. We made it fun, since I am informed by all of you about the truth and the lies. Michelle

As a 'member' for 20 plus years with Fairfield, now Wyndham, I have not found much difference when it comes to season. The sales staff does change but more importantlly is the place. On two visits to Wyndham San Antonio (both sites) we have had nothing but disappointment - to the point where we will NEVER visit that city again. Think of a bedroom without a window; sitting on the sofa to open the refrigerator; handicap shower without a seat OR grab bars; a handicap swimming pool with NO steps. Think of having a reservation for a 4 bedroom handicap - and having that confirmed, but end up with a 2 bedroom. Now I have to fight to get the extra 132,000 points returned! Thats Wyndham!!

Owner's Update Meetings
Well, here I am in Vegas at Wyndham's Grand Desert. I came in on Friday morning and they wanted to know if I would take an update. Well, we weren't going to do it but, my hubby was very hungry. So we went. They didn't have time to pull up our information and so they said sit down and eat. The food was pretty bad. If your hungry don't eat at thier "catered" breakfast. Anyways the salesman comes back five minutes later and says you bought resale, have a good day and walks away. I eat my bagel we get up to leave and go get our stuff. They forgot to mark what my free gift is so the concierge says he can't give me anything. Of course I went right back to the sales guy and made sure he gave me the offers. Well, the point is 10 minutes of time I got a $50 food certificate and some show tickets. So if you bought resale I would go to the owner's update. Ten minutes for $50 and yes the steak at Embers in the Imperial Palce was great and only cost me $15 for the whole meal.

Okay, I've got a question
I am at a Wyndham resort right now. They are telling me that they would buy back any unused points that I have at the end of the year. He's trying to say that if I have 60,000 points left they will give me like $1,000. Sounds too good to be true. So if anyone has any ideas on what they are talking about please let me know ASAP. I don't think this is true, but they are claiming that it is.
