I received several calls from Quincy Browne, and I didn't like the way he was pushing. I understand that maybe that's the way sellers work, but he was extremely pushy. I told him I was going to talk to my partner, and after I told him, what my partner said, and clearly told him that we were not interested right now, but maybe in the future, he told me "YOU ARE AN IDIOT!", and he hung up.

If I was thinking about paying for their services sometime in the future, but definitely after this incident, I surely wouldn't be pleased to do it.

What can you expect from people like that....

Well, he certainly doesn't sound like someone you'd want to do business with. Read here how to sell your timeshare yourself. There are a lot of threads on just this issue. When the time comes, you'll be educated. Also feel free to post questions here. Our members are very helpful.

    Welcome to TS4MS!

Timesharing seems to attract the scum of the earth for it's dishonest aspects.

        Quincy Browne

My experience is similar only much worse. He called me every name in the book during a more than 5 minute rant. He was very smooth on the onset of our initial call and kept the important detail that they charge an up front fee to sell your timeshare unspoken.

Later when I told him, I would do some checking and get back to him, I could tell he was a bit miffed. I knew then he had something to hide.

Later after he followed up with me I returned his call and let him know that I was not going to list with him, he exploded.

He can't be trusted. Do some reading and you'll find he's done the same thing to many people. Don't trust him or his organization.

For what it is worth, I did confirm that a Quincy Browne is an employee of buyatimeshare.com and is part of their listing dept that sells ads to timeshare owners.

My advice in this instance is simple.....

First, send a written complaint to the company to the attention of Wes Kogelman & Jason Hamilton (they are the owners of record).. If it's a rogue employee, that will give them a chance to correct the situation..

Second, don't ever give them your business....

Third, perhaps this Quincy fellow helped convince you that you should not pay an upfront fee to sell! If you ever feel tempted to do so in the future, just think of Quincy and hang up the phone!

            Just to make others aware..
The website with scam on the end may itself be a scam. There seems to be a number of posts attributed to someone using the handle rikkis_playpen, but it is certainly not me..

            Coincidence.. I think not..

This now appears to be a case of a disgruntled customer or ex-employee simply looking to create negative stories about the company, and trying to create the appearance of legitimacy by creating fake posts.

If you really wanted to create an impact, you should have been smart enough to leave the post alone. Now, even the original derogatory post seems less than credible.

I had a similar poor experience with the same person. He tries to make me feel guilty for not listing with him since, according to him, "we have been working together on this." That could not be further from the truth. Stay away from Quincy Brown, and any company he represents.

Beware of Quincy Browne and buyatimshare.com!

Well I certainly wish I had read this forum before contacting buyatimeshare.com. It seems Quincy Brown has been working there for a very long time. Maybe he's the owner's kid or something. I contacted them to sell my timeshare, needless to say, my only mistake was saying to Mr Brown, I wanted him to explain in a little more detail exactly how they price the timeshare - that was all it took - he went off! Literally! He told me I can't afford their services, I wasted his time, and pretty much attempted to belittle me on the phone.
It also seems, he loves telling people that their service is the only one available to sell your timeshare. I know there are other ways out there and I know the last thing I'll ever do is contact that company or Mr Brown again.

Sounds like this guy may have been trained as a Westgate salesman. At least it sounds like the way they operate on the tour I did with them. Bad for business.

                    Dont trust Quincy Browne

I have recently had a harrowing experience with this Company. I approached this company to enquire about selling my timeshare. A Quincy Browne rang me back and went on to tell me how great the Company was and breezed over the costs. When I asked him about the costs he got defensive and asked was the cost my problem. He was then rude, arrogant and obnoxious. He doesnt like taking no for an answer and continually talks over you and wont let you talk. He continues to harrass us by ringing us at 7am in the morning and when you hang up on him he continually rings back. Telling me we are working together. I dont think so. This is the last place I would ever look at selling my timeshare. RUDE, ARROGANT AND HARRASSING. I am reporting the matter to the telecommunications ombudsmen. Others beware of buyatimeshare.com !!!

Never ever look for a way to list for someone to sell or rent your time share. They are scammers. They think you are a sucker and will be forever.

If people can't give them away for $1 on Ebay and if the resort won't take it back, what makes you think they can sell it?

They are just crooks. They will take your money if you are stupid enough to give it to them.
