Ken,

I was wondering if there is any way to break up the links section into subgroups related to vacationing/timesharing? For example, when it came time to purchase airline tickets, you could click on a subgroup "Airfare Links" and it would list all the sites to check airfare (from the obvious sites to the obscure). Right now, you kind of have to search through all the threads to find what you need. And as this site grows, there could be many hundreds of posts regarding links. Anyway, maybe it would be something like:

*Airfare/Airlines
*Car Rentals
*Frequent Flier Sites (I just learned about FlyerTalk for camachinist tonight)
*Timeshare Classifieds
*Discount Codes
*Miscellaneous
*Etc, Etc, Etc

There are so many great sites out there for anything you can think of, especially regarding travel. And so many people here at TS4M's have the knowledge that other people may benefit from. If there was a way to group them, it may be utilized more often.

OK, sorry I had to run before...

I had this posted in another thread (with modifications here for context):

This links forum will be replaced with a software solution pretty soon. The software that I modified to become our resorts database started out as a Links Directory program.

The original links directory was modified as I hoped that it would work as a temporary resorts database (which it did) but a few people were super motivated and they managed to get just about every timeshare resort in the world added to the database. So, now that they have the data in there I have set a priority to getting a new resorts database up and running that will allow us to better use the data contained in that database for a great many of the tools we have on this site and more that will be coming.

Once the new resorts database is up and fully running I will wipe out all of the data that is in our (OLD RESORTS DATABASE) and reset all the settings to allow us to build a timeshare and travel links directory. The directory will be for all kinds of vacation and travel related sites but those sites exclusively. These links will be moderated to ensure that our links directory does not get spammed with junk links and members will be able to rate and provide feedback to sites and companies that own these sites.

I expect that the new resorts database should be done in a month or so (as long as my wife doesn't shoot me for working on this every free minute I have). After that I need to get the timeshare resort reviews that have been posted in the old resorts database as we will be building a new Resort Reviews database as soon as the Resorts database is done.

So, this has to wait until we are sure that the data in the old resorts database is in new homes before I can set us up with what will be come the ultimate timeshare are vacation resorts directory.

Too many things to do and too few hours....

Perfect! I knew you had a plan. I understand what you're talking about regarding every spare minute going into this. I did some Access programming and it becomes almost addictive. Thanks!
