I am thinking of buying Blue Green points/timeshare. Is there a big advantage to purchasing from a licensed Blue Green distributor vs ebay, craigs list, etc. I presently own a timeshare with Escapes which trades with RCI and ICE. I am trying to decide if it would be better to buy additional time at my present home resort, or purchase with Blue Green. We have been looking at buying at Big Cedar, is there an advantage to owning at a specific resort vs just the amount of points you have? Since I live in MO, I would not be staying at Big Cedar, but would want to trade for properties in Mexico, Florida, etc. I am looking for the most cost effective way to take several vacations through out the year. RCI also allows us to purchase extra, last call, vacations for a reasonable price. Would appreciate hearing your view point due to all your experience.
