I got a phone call from these people and they do not deal with individuals. They deal with developers who take trade-ins in order to sell new stuff. Then they do rentals and resales with the trade-ins.

        • I won't respond in quotes, cuz I would sorta have a hard time making it go away.

But . . . it took you six months to find this?????!!!!!!

Sorry, sweetie, but I just started with the company. Perhaps an honest job would be better

            • OK Honey.

Ya probably figured out I'm not the Welcome Wagon. Nor am I the Shill Committee. If you passed muster good for you. If you have a legitimate Exit Strategy, that would be nice.

I probably don't need to tell you that anyone claiming to be the answer sets off all kinds of alarms.

How did you happen to find this thread?

                • Since no one seems to have approved of this outfit posting here and the bad rating they have with the BBB, they are going to be banned.

                    • Somewhere in this thread I mentioned a TS marketing company that had set up shop at the entrance to Fine Kettle, and that the owner was considering taking our Fine Kettle Weeks, for free, of course, with us paying the 2015 fees, to give them a year to flip them.

Well, here's the latest on that operation. The stone bridge you see briefly in the video is the entrance to Fine Kettle, where they had set up operation in a building where one of the previous developers (gone from there with millions of dollars of judgments) ran his marketing operation.

It is a many-tangled web, but (and unrelated) the previous developer, now gone, that I refer to pleaded guilty to a felony in another Branson development back in the '90's, to avoid prison, and to put the state's AG in prison.

I recently learned that he has acquired the unsold inventory of another failed/floundering development, after he left millions of dollars of unsold stuff for the bank to take over at Fine Kettle. I am uncomfortably close to that situation, so won't say more.

Well, other than saying that if each failed developer would just take over the stuff that has gone to the bank from other failed developers, everything around there would just keep on keeping on, probably at reduced values.

Some around there wonder how someone like that can do what he does, and always seem to land on their feet.

                      Any way, enjoy the video.

                        • I am trying to get more information on the following program. The wording is what one would hope for.

                          http://rsgds.com/deedback-solutions/

Our goal is to have the owner choose to participate in the deed back program and appreciate the resort for providing the opportunity for them to do so.

✓We provide a legal & accepted way to eliminate both their debt and future obligations to the resort.
✓We offer Free club membership to allow them to continue to vacation in timeshare luxury, return to home resort, and provide value.
✓We insulate them from legal action and damage to their credit profile.
✓We offer to repair any credit damage already done.
✓Provide and prepare all legal documents for the transaction.
✓We offer a hardship program to those genuinely unable to continue ownership.
✓We make several telephone contact attempts.
✓No contact = First Letter announcing intent to Foreclose.

Why would the HOA want the inventory back?

By recovering the inventory, the HOA regains control of the inventory. You may now rent, sell or dispose of in anyway you see fit to help the HOA.

                          • Someone on another forum says DRI will take timeshares back if you are over 75. They do not advertise it, so you have call them, then write a letter, and some other stuff. They charge $250.

                            • If I knew they would take it back at age 75, I wouldn't mind having one for awhile. that is an easy out at my age.

                              Comment

                              • & what is the difference between 74 & 75, or 65 & 75, or any age and any age if you are just throwing money away for something you don't use?

If it's true, 75 is just an arbitrary figure that doesn't have anything to do with the timeshare industry's no exit strategy problem.

Forcing someone to pay for something they don't use, and being ugly about it with those who don't, without making any genuine efforts otherwise, should be criminal, and is just inviting it becoming that. I'm talking about those companies and those resorts that don't have any sort of resale service for their owners . . . a bulletin board, a newsletter, a local real estate agent, etc., and tell their owners, "We don't care what you do with your weeks. (but we have a company that handles the ones we take back)"

Then rag about the high cost of collections and bad debts, and raise fees. IMHO, they only a right to rag if they are making an effort to help resolve the problem.
