    Hi,

New to TS4MS and to posting on forums (but have been reading a lot here and on TUG), so please excuse any mistakes on where this post should go and/or how it is worded. We own 15,200 points at Paradise Village in Nuevo Vallarta (optimum season and unit - premium season, 2 x 7,600 points in a one-bedroom marina) until 2046, and are interested in selling. I know we can try to sell it ourselves, which we're willing to do. However, I also read a recent article in TimeSharing Today written by Dan Murphy of Timehare Liquidation Service and Quality Timeshare Resales, but can't find any information in these forums regarding them. Not sure of the best way to go about this and would appreciate any advice.

Well, a few avenues that you could explore would be contacting other owners at your resort to see if they're interested in purchasing more time. Some common ways to do this would be if there was an on-site bulletin board at the resort to post an advertisement on. Or if you have any owner meetings where you all get together.

That would be my first suggestion because selling points is rather complicated so if you could sell them to people that understand it, and better yet, already purchased it, then that would be your easiest option.

Beyond that, ebay is always a good way to get rid of it all together if that's your real motive.

Using timeshare classified ad sites would be another easy option.

As far as going through a resale company, be wary. These people are interested in making money, not selling your timeshare so don't deal with any companies that require up front fees. I'm not familiar with the company you posted. Find out if they require up front fees. If not, go for it.

    Hope this helps..

I'm not sure how well Paradise Village is selling, but several years ago it was one of the better Mexican timeshares and was getting decent prices. Check the current prices out there so you don't price it too low. Unfortunately all timeshares are not selling as high priced as they did a few years ago.

        Private message...

I sent you a pm with contact info for an agent who has been working with a buyer recently for that resort. Not sure if she still needs it, but give her a call..
