Have a timeshare in Branson and am thinking of possibly another. Does anyone have experience there with the various companies? Any suggestions or comments?

    Thanks to all!

    Why?
Stick around here for another six months and you'll probably decide it is easier to rent your vacation these days than have the Timeshare obligation.
... not enough time for all the timeshares ®

You may well be right. I have wondered how long they can keep building before it gets to a point that it becomes smart to rid one's self of any ownership and depend completely on renting

Depspite the fact I own two timeshares in Branson, I don't recommend it for purchase unless you plan on using it or, it's just so dirt cheap you can't turn it down.

Of the resorts in Brason, if I were to buy one with the intention of exchange it would probably be the Marriott. The reason being is those that own there have reported very good trade value when exchanging within the Marriott system. Marriott has an excellent variety of resorts in multiple loctations that are world wide.

The big drawback to Marriott would be their MF's. They are probably the most expensive resort as far as MF's go for a Branson resort. But, they have a lot of amenities for offer including the nicest pool complex I've seen in Branson.

IMHO, the best timeshare to own is one you can use for personal usage and be happy and one that trades well. We've tried to do that with each timeshare we've purchased.

Keep in mind resale in considerably less exensive than buying from the developer. For instance, I've seen Palace View weeks go for less than $100. I've seen many Branson resorts on E-bay that haven't sold, even with a minimum bid of $1.

My thoughts ae essentially that I am looking for a combination of a place to use, but I think for the foreseeable future we will be trading. We are of an age where we don't have too many years left for long distance travel.
