  • Review: Suites at Hershey

Following is an overview of the review that was added:

One of the only timeshares in the area. Walking distance to attractions, outlets and a couple places to eat. Grounds are limited, but clean and well kept. Rooms were comfortable and very clean.

Thanks for the review - I have always wanted to stay here. Even thought of buying into BG just to have access to the resort.

Back when I was debating whether to buy into Bluegreen, there were a lot of summer and shoulder season rentals at Hershey that cost less than what many points owners pay (the more points you own, the lower the yearly fees per point). If memory serves, a fair percentage of building one is weeks owners still. That's the building closest to the train tracks, the only one not connected to the indoor pool, and the one without whirlpool tubs, but also closest to the clubhouse and outdoor pool.

The kitchen is huge, which I like, and the unit was large enough for our family of seven but I wouldn't recommend it for more than two couples. I didn't like the plastic seats on the dining table chairs, and the decor is more citified than vacation to me, but that's about all the complaints I can generate. We do prefer larger resorts, but we were in building three and high enough that our view was some grassy and wooded hills across the street, so it felt larger than it really is and we were happy.

If you're looking for a Hershey rental, let me know

I'm a Bluegreen owner with plenty of points and would work with you on a rental if interested. Fri and Sat are the highest points costs, so Sun-Fri would get you the best rental price.

Several years ago, we stayed at campground connected with the park, called Highmeadow. It was really nice and we got discount park tickets as well as a free shuttle to the park (beats paying the parking fee and we didn't have to walk from the lot to the gate). We were on the far end of the campground and the tent was bombarded every morning with walnuts being dropped from the trees by squirrels. However, the hardest thing to get used to were the trains. They went through pretty often. By the third night, we could sleep through them. But there are several campsite right next the tracks. Between the noise and vibration of the tracks, I don't know how those people get any sleep.

              Hershey Suites Building info

I'm hoping someone would be able to comment on the possible views, or combinations of, for each of the three buildings at Hershey Suites. Difficult to determine from resort map and photos.

Are occupants only able to see the park, and possibly fireworks from high floor, from Bldg. #3, closest to the road and furthest away from tracks? What can be viewed from Bldg. #2, just other two surrounding bldgs.?
Basically what locations can best see Hershey Park from room?

Do owners visiting the resort this time of year have better assignments over renters or is it determined by where they own?
Also, if one is staying in a first floor unit can you hear any noise from beneath such as vehicle engines starting, door/trunk closing, voices in garage, etc.?
              thanks.
