Nice review. As owners, my wife and I have mixed feelings about the place. We love our room and view. We haven't seen it since the recent updates. We hear it is very nice and brought back up to standard.

Our room in Woodland Lodge is actually larger than the equivalent size room in Jackman Brook and the other newer buildings. It may be a better use of space and better traffic flow in the newer buildings, because the rooms do give an impression of spaciousness. The point of saying this is to let people know that, after the recent updates to all the buildings, staying in Woodland Lodge or the even older main building will provide the same comfy bedding, the same nice furniture, the same improvements to the kitchen, etc. There is nothing special about Jackman Brook besides its being the newest building.

BWolf, maybe VRI has some type of incentive to rent the rooms in Jackman Lodge. The girl on the phone really seemed to push it over the other rooms.
I'm glad she did though as if it was just an ordinary TS room, I'm sure my little group would not have been happy campers. We actually all had our own space and we utilized the murphy bed. It worked out well for us.

You're lucky to own in this place. I'm not sure how easy it is to trade into, but I've not seen it trying to get it on exchange thru RCI this year. I'm sure it's because I started looking late in the summer.

Until very recently, PB was II exclusive. I'm not sure how often it will appear in RCI for exchange.

Well that explains it. I couldn't see it with my VRI deposit and I gave it to II this year. Oh well, at least I got a little VRI discount on the rental even though it was way more than I'm used to spending for a TS, but it worked out well for us anyway. I'm getting spoiled with all these good deals that having to pay almost retail prices ($265) is sticker shock for me.

Considering the season though, I think it was fair. Wish I could have stayed longer but with the rains pouring down in that area when we left, I guess we did good.

I am glad you liked the resort. My wife and I just confirmed an exchange there for late September. We are going for the scenery and waterfalls. We are going Cedarbrook in Vermont as well. Any advice on things to do in either area?

              Try this:
              http://www.timeshareforums.com/forum...mountains.html

That thread was started about North Conway, but I have always preferred staying in Lincoln when visiting the White Mountains and IMHO the best place to stay there has been Pollard Brook (4 stays there and 3 at other Lincoln resorts plus some hotels).

Have Eric, the concierge map you out the 100 mile loop around the resort.
He can show you where to stop along the way to see everything.
It took us two days to see everything. We spend about 5 hours in
flume gorge alone and another 3 hours doing the aerial tram.

There are a few waterfalls along the sides of the road and don't miss the covered bridges. Enjoy.

Here's a few pictures to get you started.

Amazing pictures. We will talk to the concierge about the loop. I am going to need more SD cards for my cameras. We are spending time in the mountains in New York and Vermont as well. Thanks for the advice

There is so much to do. I assume you are heading to NY and VT before or after your stay in NH. If you are planning on using NH as your base and then heading out for day trips that may be a bit much (depending on how deep you want to get into the other states). We spend many winter weekends in NH and 1 or 2 full weeks in the summer. Honestly....my favorite place to be. We have stayed at InnSeasons PB a few times and always liked the place. We have been staying at InnSeasons South Mountain the last couple of years (just down the road). If you are planning on trying out most of the tourist stuff - check out

The White Mountains of New Hampshire- Attraction Pass

For $299 it will give you two adult passes into just about all the major attractions.
If you think this is something you want to do - purchase soon. They are very limited in quantity and do sell out before the summer arrives.

Loon Mountain is across the street from PB - great views from the Gondola and observation tower at the top of the mountain. They even started a small zip line adventure there last summer.

Railroad ride - skip the HOBO - it is fine for us and our child - but really NO scenery. Go for the COG railway just north of Lincoln or the Scenic railway in Conway.

The adventure conceirge at PB is named Eric - he does a great job and there will be group activities for the week you are there. I have emailed him prior to going and he has always been helpful.

If you have anything specific you want info on - just ask!

There is a well stocked tourism center in Lincoln, just over the train tracks on the main drag heading towards Woodstock. You can walk to a shopping center across from Pollard Brook where they have a restaurant. Lots of free things to see, some requiring a parking pass (available at the tourist center). Indian Leap is not far, and the Flume and Basin are fairly close by. Lots of places to hike and over a dozen area waterfalls (tho no one seems to know where the one at Baker Brook is). If you decide to go up Mt. Washington, dress for colder weather when you get up there. Don't get too close to Moose as fall is the rutting season and they can be unpredictable.

We live in western New York so will be driving and enjoying the scenery. Thanks everyone the tips and advice have helped us plan what to do. Eric the concierge must be good more than one person has recommended him. We are hoping to get some great pictures.

So are they available for rent or can we go and purchase them too. It would be fine with you reply in more details about the prices for the both offers.

This is not a thread offering anything for sale. It is a review of the resort. Please consult our Classified section if you are interested in purchasing or renting a timeshare.
