The "resort" was in the process of remodeling the office. It should have remodeled its surrounding, units, and access.

If you are looking for a city break I would go to the city. If you want: miles of empty, sandy beaches; restaurants and bars overlooking a beautiful Mediterranean port; a 20 minute train to probably the second best theme park in Europe; and, yes, a two hour journey to Barcelona, then I recommend Cambrils.
