Just wanted to add to Anita's review.

I visited Solara for 6 nights in early November with 2 friends. We also had a 2BR/2Bath oceanfront unit and it was wonderful. Almost 1400 sq feet with two double beds in the second bedroom and a king in the Master.
Staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful. Cheerfully provided suggestions for restaurants, where to shop and how to get there. Mentioned at check-in that I was coming back early next year....and that they would note this on my resie not to make any room changes as I wanted the two units together. No high pressure to take sales tour.

Fabulous beach with lounge chairs with thick pads provided.
Grounds (while not extensive) were beautiful and well kept.
There is both a walking trail and separate biking trail that runs along the dunes for what looks like several miles - it was fun to watch all the people using them in the morning as well as walking along the shore.
Valet Parking at $5/$10 per day (owner/guest) was very efficient/quick.
We flew in and out of Fort Lauderdale and the ride to the resort was 25 minutes straight down A1A - easy and scenic.
Resort is on Collins Ave and 88 Street many varied restaurants and a Publix Market at 94th-96th Street, one block over on Harding, exactly one mile from resort.

We had some windy weather and the kite boarders were out as well as the surfers. . my favorite activities was counting the cruise ships in and out of Port Miami - and also the ones passing by from Fort Lauderdale

I was able to look at the 1BR, 1.5Bath unit and the 1BR/1Bath (more like a large "L" studio) and these were also spacious.

I can not wait to go back!
