We had a great visit at the Suites at Hershey. We were on an RCI exhange. Our 2BR suite had plenty of room for us, daughter, son in law, and 2 small children. The master bedroom had a king bed, a dressing area with sink and vanity with stool, and the shower/tub combo and toilet in the separate bathroom. The other bedroom had 2 queen beds, and the sink was inside the bathroom, also with a tub/shower combo. The kitchen was nicely equipped with many conveniences like a blender and a toaster, along with the usual coffee maker, service for 8, etc. They had lots of utensils for cooking and serving. There was a full size washer and dryer, which always is nice, especially when you have kids.
There is a parking garage under each of the 3 buildings. Only one car per unit may mark in the garage, but the outside parking lots are right outside the buildings. They do not limit the amount of total cars. There were plenty of luggage carts to take everything upstairs. The elevators must be activated with a room key for security.
The train does go right by the windows. Most of the time it did not disturb my sleep, but the whistle is very loud and they run day and night. The unit was clean, but there were stains on the rugs and the sofa cushions. There was a broom and a carpet sweeper, for all the Cheerios left by the little ones.
The staff could not have been more pleasant or accommodating. They allowed my daughter's family to check in ahead of our arrival, and they gave us a linen swap mid-week when they left and my son came in with his family.
We had a problem with the air conditioning condenser. It was leaking, wetting the carpet around the unit. They sent someone up right away to fix it.
Coffee and tea are available in the clubhouse throughout the day/evening.
There are 2 pools and one hot tub, all very clean. The outdoor pool is a little small for the size of the resort. Even with only 3 or 4 families in it, it seemed crowded. There were plenty of pool lounges available. There is only one kiddie pool, and it is in the indoor complex. Also in that same building are a game room and a fitness room. Each unit is given 8 pool towels, and they advise you that they will check to make sure all 8 are there upon check out.
There is a computer available at the main lobby to print out boarding passes, tickets, etc.
They give you starter coffee, paper towels, dish and laundry detergent, and they will replenish them at no cost upon request. They also actively recycle and provide green bags for recyclables. Recycle and regular garbage containers are located in the parking garages and they ask that you deposit trash there during the stay. Apparently they used to pick up the bags from the hallways outside the doors. We did see some bags left in the hallways, but the packet said that they now ask people to remove the trash to avoid odor and possible insects!
The resort is right across the street from a large Tanger Outlet Center, and very close to Hershey Park. You can easily leave the park for a rest, swim, or meal and return back to it the same day.
You can easily take day trips to Amish Country and Gettysburg.
I would definitely recommend this resort.
