Following is an overview of the review that was added:

Wonderful resort, with large units and a great location. Perfect for a the "Kona based" portion of our trip.

One of our favorites! Whales Dec - Mar. Also has a "quiet" pool (no kids).

We just got back from this resort. We were in building 15 - not my first choice but the resort seemed very full and we had called ahead to request "Not a first floor unit, preferably top floor and hopefully not a parking lot view from the lanai." When I called the morning of check-in, a very helpful lady named Elaine said building 15 was "the best she could do."

It was fine, no water view and a short hike up the hill to the adult only pool and across the parking lot to the splash pool, but we had no one behind us other than a neighbouring golf course. Vaulted ceilings made it very spacious feeling. Our only complaint was that the beds were as hard as cement!! Both the king in the master and the doubles in the guest bedroom were not comfortable at all. The only reason we were glad to get home was to get back in our own bed.

We really liked the "quiet" pool, it is actually posted that it is a quiet area, which suited us old farts quite well. Plus you could take your own beverages and a light snack in, as long as you weren't within six feet of the pool with it.

      Very convenient Kona location.
