  • Review: Hilton Grand Vacations Club on the Las Vegas Strip

Following is an overview of the review that was added:

This is a very nice resort but the area around it is still in the early stages of developement. Once the new resorts that are under construction or planned for the area, it will be in a really good location.

In tower 2 they have added a spa/salon. We didn't check it out since we never use those services. They rent Cabana's by the pool (total of four of them) through the Spa also. I believe Cabana rental's start at around $100 for 3 hours.

Hi Doug, Thanks so much for your review. I just read it as my son and I would be spending a week at this resort during the 2nd full week in February. Looking forward to relaxing at the heated pool etc. [We will be disappointed if the pools are not open...]

I was wondering if someone could tell me what tower/floor/unit to request. I am hoping we could get a view of the Strip.

Both towers 1 and 2 have views of the strip but, IMO tower 2, which looks to the south, has the better view. Your view may be partially blocked by the new construction of Fountianbleau resort though as it's gone up a number of stories since we were there last.

As far as relaxing by the pool in Febuary.....I'm not sure there will be much relaxing as Vegas can be downright chilling that time of year. Think highs in the 60's and low's in the 40's. We've been to Vegas in Febuary and it's never occured to me to think about using any outdoor pool, heated or not, at that time of year. We're normally in Vegas in March and it's iffy about pool usage then.

Thanks Doug. We will make sure to take our video game consoles too, just in case the 12 year old starts to get bored ...

Nice resort, cold in the winter

It's been a couple of years, but we enjoyed a last minute exchange. I was impressed. You do want to avoid the winter, if you want to use the pool.

I had a great time at this resort. We stayed in a 1 BR deluxe for 4 days. It's far enough off the strip so that you don't have issues driving in/out, but close enough to walk ( if it's not too hot). My only complaint was that there was no hot water in the spa bathtub. :-(

Been busy lately, but I have to respond here. Being an LV resident, obviously the HGVC is at the north end of the strip (sort of the forgotten stepchild) but there is a bunch of development there. Forgetting Circus Circus next door, that may be on the implosion list, Boyd Echelon Place where the Stardust used to be is due to open in 2009 or 2010. Trump Plaza is within a walk, Fountainbleu and Wynn Encore will be close as well as the good old Riviera and Sahara for you NASCAR fans.

FYI here's an LVRJ article reviewjournal.com -- Casinos & Hotel: Under Construction
