  • Review: Silverleaf's Hill Country Resort

Following is an overview of the review that was added:

Great resort and I would definitely return again. It is a nice central location between Austin and San Antonio with lots to do in the area.

Thanks for the review! This one is on my list of "we really ought to go there someday" resorts.

Thanks for the review. I have an exchange there for next summer. It will be warmer than you had it.

The hottest day we had there was in the low 90's...only 1 day though..We tried walking around Austin that day..why? I don't know..it was too hot!
I have some pictures of the resort, I will try to post later.

Some of the Silverleaf's are doing the shabby chic which I don't care for - were they intentionally made to look worn or were they truly worn? The ones I've seen with the 'antiquing' are usually white.

I'm just curious about this point. I think it's a horrible idea as I definitely think it looks crappy. I had not yet seen that in a Presidential, only lodge, but have never been to this location.

          Thanks for the thorough review!!

They looked worn, almost like paint peeling. Not sloppy where there pieces of paint hanging off, but usually shabby chic has some dings and worn areas. These were to the bare wood in places. Not all the cabinets were like this, just the main kitchen and bathrooms. The cabinets in the kitchenette and armoires, along with the breakfast bar were in good shape.
