Thanks, Mschatz, for the review. We will be staying at Kahana Falls next April and I was a little apprehensive about it because of what little "reviews" I heard of the place. We had a choice between Maui Hill and Kahana Falls. We opted for Kahana Falls since it was more convenient for us t/s datewise. I heard good things about Maui Hill but not about Kahana Falls and was not sure if I made the right decision. Thanks to you, I feel more reassured.

Kahana Falls review

Thanks for the review. We were there the first week of this month and enjoyed it, but..... 1) the pool is pretty, but not heated, so swims were refreshing and not terribly long; 2) the Kipa 1 bedroom unit was not that bad as some of the reviews have complained about, just get an upstairs unit in this small 2 story building of 10 units originally built for staff use(the floor squeaked at 3am-5am when upstairs person was up walking around);3) These Kipa units are actually more conveniently located to the parking lot, pool and the 2 hot tubs;4) perhaps petty, but no salt or pepper in the unit(I didn't ask the Front Desk, so that's my fault, I guess); 5) the bedroom has a sliding glass door that goes out to a patio facing a tall retaining wall for the highway that goes past the Kipa building(the upstairs unit might get more highway noise); 6) and the best for last were the 4 cockroaches(first one on the kitchen counter) that my dw found and dealt with, but heck this is Maui and we don't get too crazy over such things, but I did immediately report it after the first incident to the Front Desk, who did not react like she cared and the next few days there was no indication that anyone responded to the sighting and 3 more were seen and dealt with(by dw). They say they're trying to boost their Silver Crown back up to a Gold, but they still need a bit more of a Gold Crown effort. Don't get me wrong, we enjoyed out weeklong stay and would probably return if no other reasonable exchange was available, but would definately consider other locales in Lahaina and Kihei. I spoke with longtime owners in the hot tub, who were very pleased with KF. Gary
