  • Review: Cibola Vista Resort and Spa

Following is an overview of the review that was added:

In the middle of nowhere, with staff who could care less, with a management team that don't have a clue, with an understanding of how to run a resort equaling zilch.

    Please see the review here!

Please use this thread to discuss the review.

WOW! Tell us how you really feel.

What is so surprizing about this is "Isn't this is a new resort? Only open for 1 year. and still in a major building phase? " You would think that if they are having this kinds of problems now I wouldn't want to see what it is like in 2-3 years.

    Thanks for the review.

Sounds like this might be a new pet peeve.

We toured out there maybe a year ago...got a free night at the Phoenix Ritz Carlton and a dinner from them. Our tour was very short...the saleswoman didn't even show us a room because she identified us as resale buyers and she wanted to move on to "real prospects". The grounds were nice but we wondered about the location. It is really far out from anything in Scottsdale and Phoenix and sits in a residential development.

When we visited, they talked about how they were going to have stables and buffaloes and cowboy shows...I wondered how the homeowners nearby liked that idea.

The so-called stable appears to be across the street....another sorry attempt at "offering something to do". The poor horses seemed lonely and miserable and from what we could see the "trail" resembled the size of a moped track.

This resort reminds me of Silver Lakes in California near Barstow....the folks there tried to sell the idea of "watching the ducks" as an activity....

Yes, Mike, the pet peeve thread was definitely generated by this poor excuse of a resort.

The resort may be a new build, but there are already signs that the wear and tear will be quick and not likely to be remedied any time soon.

Imagine telling us that there was no way we could have a chair for the dining table! The unit sleeps 4 (laughably), but the table only had 2 chairs.

The guy said "there are no extra chairs floating around"....totally unimaginative in the problem solving department, as there were at least 8 chairs in the lobby right in front of him....customer service is not job one at this place.

I'm happy to know that our friends were right. They had the same things to say about the resort but since she's really fussy I wasn't sure how bad it was. I do know they will never go back.
