Thanks so much for the review. I am staying there in July 2009. It's a really big vacation for us. My oldest daughter is turning 21 and my youngest, who is mildly autistic, is finally graduating from high school!!!! I saw the pictures on DRI's website and loved the decor and most of the reviews from other sites were positive.

I think you'll like it there. I stayed there through a direct exchange with a fellow TS4M'r. It's not a huge resort, but big enough to be enjoyable and located on a residential street in a good location.
      Have fun!!

I own with some family two weeks in the summer for this resort. None of us ever go there. Infact we have stopped using our weeks all together! Glad to hear that people are enjoying the resort.

We just came back from FL. Loved this place! This resort is off the main road, yet close to Rt 192 and Rt 4, so easy access to Disney, Sea World and other local attractions.
Some info for others to consider:
Located between markers 10 and 11 on 192. There is are two Walmarts, a Target and grocery stores very close by, as well as lots of restaurants. (The nicer Walmart is a right hand turn out of the resort and up the road on the right, less than 1/4 mile.) There are no ammenities at this resort (like a small store or cafe) and activities are somewhat limited. However, it is very peaceful and quiet. During our stay it seemed like fewer than half the units were being used. There are two units/floor. The washer and dryer are outside the units and shared. However, most of the time there wasn't anyone in the other unit, so we had no problem with having to share laundry facilities. The only problem we had was our key cards were deactivated a day early (we stayed 8 nights rather than seven). The cards can only be re-activated by the office, which closes at 7:00 PM. So we had to have security let us in to our unit on the last night. We felt a little trapped in the unit because if we went anywhere, even to the pool, we wouldn't be able to get back in our unit without security.
We drove by Cypress Pointe and Grand Beach, the two other DRI resorts in the area. Both were right off very busy highways and looked like they may have been a challenge to get into and out of. I was very glad we had a little more seclusion. There are traffic lights at both ends of the road leading to Polynesian Isles. A right-hand turn out of the resort takes you to Vineland Ave (Rt 535). Make a left at this light and follow the signs for major attractions. It's a much better way to get to the parks than dealing with the traffic on I-4.
We will definitely stay here again in the future.
