  • Review: Jockey Club

Following is an overview of the review that was added:

The location was excellent and the view on the north side of the resort was great. Lots of construction all around. Staff was very helpful but second hand smoke was a problem in some areas of this non smoking resort.

      Thanks for your review.

We inherited a week at The Jockey Club about ten years ago and have used it about five times and traded the rest.

JC was originally built in the middle of nowhere as condos and went BK when only about ten percent of the units sold. The remainder were bought up and developed as TS back in the early days (RCI# 67). Since the original sold units are considered private residences they are not subject to smoking restrictions like the resort ones are.

The staff at JC has always been first rate and very helpful and accomodating.

          THANKS!

I have an exchange for NewYears EVE 2009 - can't wait ... and because week 52 is a fixed week ownership, chances are we will get the unit on our exchange which has a view of the fountains at Bellagio from the 8th floor (as told to us by an owner)

Can u tell I am excited about this ?

You will have the time of your life. LV on NYE is the bomb. They close down the strip to cars and there are about 500,000 drunks reveling in the spirit of the new year. Fireworks are launched from several of the hotels set to typical LV music. Like Viva Las Vegas, Doenke Shein (sic?), etc.... Typical hotel rooms go for a grand at the nice places. Just watch out for the drunks, hold on to your purse, and people watch.

Then there's always the next morning hangover.

However, the Jockey Club is buried between Bellagio and the new City Center, Cosmopolitan projects under construction. You have to walk under a wooden covered walkway to get in and out. But who cares? It's New Years Eve and you get to pay jacked up prices for every little thing on the Strip.
