  • Review: Hyatt Beach House Resort

Following is an overview of the review that was added:

Hyatt's Beach House is one of three Hyatt T/S on Key West. It's located on US1 on the right hand side (north side) just before the split. We like secluded location, away from the noise of the 'Old Town' district.

Thanks for the great review - especially the valuable information to avoid Windward Point because of the airport noise.

You say u have exchanged in the past 7 years - are u a Hyatt owner?
What time of year do you exchange in?

Also curious about what u feel is the best way to get there - driving from Miami in a rental car?
    Flying into Key West?

And lastly, do they charge for parking that rental car? If so, how much?

    Thanks again

      Hi Pat:

No I am not a Hyatt Owner, though I've been to several timeshare tours while at Beach House (A man's got to eat and the gift certs come in handy for that--I think it's still $100/couple) The sales people alway give you a reason why you've been so successful and how the situation is about to change--so buy now! We've never had a problem exchanging into Beach House (using Marriott or KCRII weeks) and we usually travel during end of Jan to middle of April. Although I like the Hyatt points system, I'm not interested adding an extra week to our current inventory.

Admittedly, having a car in Key West is of questionable worth, but airfare to EYW is expensive. We normally fly into MIA or FLL and then use Marriott points to stay overnight at the Aventura Courtyard(Miami Gardens)--so far I've been able to get a room for 10K points (normally 15K). Getting around the island is easy and as I mentioned in my review finding parking is rarely a problem. I like riding a bike while down there, but I'm the only one so that doesn't help much getting from point a to point b. Parking at both Beach House and Windward is free for the first vehicle. I've not stayed at Sunset but I believe there may be a weekly fee there.
