Thanks for the review. This pretty much confirms what I had felt about this resort from the beginning and from what research I had done. Nice rooms, nice resort but the location is less than convenient. It doesn't appear that the location in realationship to the airport is as big of a problem as I thought it might be. I haven't seen anyone really complain about the noise from aircraft either landing or taking off.

With a car I could see this as being a decent resort for those that didn't feel the need to be in the middle of all the action. Sort of a place to get away from it all yet be just a few minutes drive away from all that is the Las Vegas strip. It may fit well for timeshare travelers that want a little Vegas but also would like to relax as well.

We have a Moorea suite at TV. It sleeps 4 but is really designed for 2 or maybe a couple with 1 or 2 small children.
There is no cooktop. But as noted, it is also very nicely furnished, and the mgt. works hard to keep everything clean. Steam cleaning walkways every morning. Quite impressive.
I agree on the location limitations, but to make up for that, they could change the routes of the shuttles periodically for those who just want to shop instead of doing the strip. As it is, the 'mall rats' are left waiting up to 45 min to get to their destination, as the mall is always the last stop after 3 major casinos.
Maybe alternate routes on the hour, etc. I've also noticed the buses are marginal for strollers, etc. More than once I've seen a couple waved off and told they would be better waiting for a larger bus (they vary some in size).
One nice thing is they keep the buses stocked with iced bottle water. We asked management if they can do that, then why not also have a couple of bottles in the room for arriving guests? They looked puzzled and said, you can buy water anywhere, just bring your own.
Rides to and from the airport would be nice too, but I would trade that for a few more considerations.
Beware getting show or tour info from the room phone. We almost missed a good show by 2 hours because of a concierge who was misinformed. Do any serious planning downstairs and ask to see the information. Don't leave anything to chance.
Dining is limited, but I suppose they figure if you don't cook in the larger rooms, you probably scarf up at the casino buffets. Also, while having a 24hr Dennys can be convenient in a pinch especially in the wee hours, it's been a long time since I've been in a Denny's that had weak coffee. But that's one for sure.
The food at Tahiti Joes was not bad, even with the ambiance out of a 70's B movie. But the continental breakfast for owners is far exceeded by Best Western or Quality Inn. I wonder why they even bother.
