Following is an overview of the review that was added:

A wonderful week spent in Bermuda at a first class, comfy resort. Great location in St George Town, easy access to pubic transportation. Excellent staff, nice facilities. Location, Location LOCATION!

Thanks for posting. I enjoyed looking at the pictures.

Just curious, what did you do when you were there?

This was a very last minute trip for my family....
I ended up going from Saturday to Tuesday
Mom and Dad stayed Saturday to Saturday,
My sister and niece came Sunday to Saturday and my BIL Monday thru Saturday.

Soooooooo....mom, dad and I arrived on Saturday, checked in, unpacked, shopped at the resorts small market, Ample Hamper.
They actually had a nice assortment of items to compliment our cooler full of food that we brought from home.
Walked around the resort a bit and then had dinner at Griffins Restaurant on-site.
The food was very good but expensive - 25% above NYC prices I would say.
There would be severe sticker shock from visitors not used to 'city' prices.

On Sunday, my parents and I purchased 7 day bus passes and proceeded to tour around the island.
We took the bus into Hamilton (all the stores were closed on Sunday) and were going to switch there and get the bus to Stackyard?(something-yard) - However, we started talking to a local man at the bus depot who told us about the ferries.
Use of the ferries is included in the bus pass - it was a short walk to the ferry terminal and a wonderful ride thru the harbor out to the 'other' end of the island.

We had lunch at a restaurant there, walked around the shops and boarded the bus heading back to Hamilton.
We got off the bus about 2/3 of the way back to visit the Elbow Beach Resort - the place my parents honeymooned 55 years ago. This whole area is one beautiful beach Elbow Beach after another - which is why I REALLY would like to go back and spend a week in Bermuda!

We headed back to the resort in time to greet my sister and niece who had just arrived - we all swam in the 'little' pool behind our cottage and enjoyed a nice dinner in our unit.

On Monday, we called for the resort shuttle and headed down to the resorts beach at Achilles Bay

this is where most of my pictures were taken - the water there was crystal clear - you did not need a snorkel mask to see the fish! There was a nice casual bar/restaurant on the bluff above the beach - Blackbeard's Hideout - where lunch and dinner were served.
This beach was right next to Fort St Catherine and another fun beach.

Headed back up to the cottage for lunch after having pre-arranged a pick-up with our shuttle driver.
BIL had arrived and announced he wouldn't go to the beach between 12 and 4???
See ya lata' - the rest of us headed back down to the beach but this time stopped at Tobacco Bay Beach Bermuda which was also very nice BUT a cruise ship was in port and the beach soon became very crowded.
We left around 4 - and again headed back for a swim in our 'little' pool.

Tuesday, several of us went 'down the steps' and into the town...spent about an hour walking around but it was HOT - so back to the cottage and down to Achilles beach we went. As 'club' guests, we could use the lounge chairs for free. I had pre-arranged a taxi to pick me up at 2:30 for my 4pm flight.....leaving my family to enjoy the rest of the week.

My parents spent another day touring (and shopping) around the island, taking different buses and REALLY enjoyed the ferry rides. My sister and her family also used the bus passes and toured on their own. They spend additional time at the beach and tried several area restaurants.

All in all, it was relaxing, the people were extremely nice, the resort and island were very clean.
I would not hesitate to return, to enjoy the extensive beaches and snorkel. My preferred travel time would be May/June and Sept/October to avoid the HOT weather in the summer.
