Sigh. Yes, yet another reason NOT to buy. Well, maybe I'll just have to find a better source for cheap SPV rentals...

Actually, I do know owners there who might be willing to sell us bonus weeks... While we were at SPV we (and our kids) befriended a family and found out something very surprising. I shared the story and pix on our blog here...the post from 8/24 if anyone is curious. Kinda cool, if I do say so myself

Thanks, JLB, for the info on some of the available Last Calls! The guest membership thing might not be a bad deal for us if it's still available.

Over the years we (DW and me) have hosted beaucoup Branson visitors vis a vis Internet timeshare forums. They come out and spend a day on the Margaritaville Dock, go for a ride or fishing on the BTSRN, go to shows, play golf, go out to eat, normally at our preferred locals prices.

To many this has just been something they saw posted in a forum and didn't think much about it, but in real life it involves stuff like me picking someone up at their resort, taking them to the golf course (private) where they play at owner's rate, and then taking them back to the resort.

Or meeting folks at a show and getting them in for five or ten bucks, or going to the Branson Belle or Dixie Stampede for twenty bucks, or distributing free Silver Dollar City Coupons, four of which I sent out today.

In addition, we have a Guest Suite in our house, which is free standing , near the woods, and near the lake. If we ever get our new house built, even closer to the lake and woods, we are planning two Guest Suites in it. Of course, we have slips for your boat, too.

So, if anyone ever needs a place to hang their hats in the Branson area . . .

Sounds like a nice setup! It's nice to know that not all internet friendships warrant stranger danger alarms. Sounds like your southern hospitality has helped forge a lot of nice friendships! We really enjoyed Branson and hope to return. August was miserably hot there with 100 degree heat... June sounds a little more appealing.

          What's the BTSRN?

If that link works, select Litigant Name Search, and then search Festiva in all participating courts.

Those are in addition to Festiva's settlement with the MO AG:

Nixon reaches settlement with broker selling Branson timeshares; Festiva to pay $324,393 restitution, $15,000 in penalties and costs

Here is another SPV discussion. I believe the SPV employee says that in Post 23, and then talks about the situation there:

This went the way most of them here do. It had nine pages of docket entries, mostly attornies appearing to bully, harass, avoid and so forth. Then, the parties dismissed it, which means they got tired of it, tired of spending money on attornies, tired of the way these things tend to eat you up, and reached a settlement.

A unique aspect of this one was the request for a TRO, suggesting someone was physically appearing and threatening another. It was not granted. TROs are hard to get here.

Some of these go on for years, until one or both parties capitulate, that being the way justice works here.

I have noticed in my case.net searches that attorney Bryan Wade is a very busy man.

I was wondering why they never answered because they always do.

                      I checked, and I sent it to feedback@dishnetwork.com .

Bet they wonder what I was talking about.

No, if they keep notes, they knew what the problem was.

                                I posted the details here:

                                http://www.timeshareforums.com/forum...uest-pass.html

Feedback twice told me they didn't understand why I was asking if it was available when I had included the specific information about it right after that question.

Twice I have explained to them that what I included came from a post on an Internet forum quite some time ago, so it was perfectly logical to ask if it was still available. I'm still not sure if they get it.

Sometimes talking like this to someone is sooooooooo hard.
