  • Review: Villas de Santa Fe / Vacation Internationale - Villas de Santa Fe

Following is an overview of the review that was added:

This is a nice resort because of the location. However very disappointed with the size of the unit.

Thanks for the very thorough and informative review. It sounds like it will be a little tight if my brother and his girlfriend join us. But if they come, it will probably be only for one overnight. It sounds like you found plenty to do there.

Thank you very much for the review. I am dissapointed that, if we go to Santa Fe next year that the one trail you mentioned will be closed. I haven't researched Santa Fe in a few months but I believe that was a day trip I had targeted to do.

It's nice to know that, if we want a balcony, we'll need to call ahead. You've confirmed what I believed about unit size being on the small side but, I'm glad to know that the bedroom has a king size bed that is comfortable.

I dislike not having a washer/dryer in the unit and even worse, having to pay to do laundry at the resort but, it's about the only game in town and it's not like we haven't traveled to resorts in the past the had community laundry rather than in room washer/dryers. It's not a deal breaker, just an minor inconvenience.

I guess we're fortunate in that Santa Fe is within driving distance for us. It's an all day drive but, flying in would be expensive and it would be routing like you experienced. I think I'd rather save the cost of airfare and renting a car and just make the drive.

          Thanks!
This is, I think, an old Homewood Suites converted, which accounts for the unit size deficiencies and the non resort feel. Can't beat the location!!!

From the description I was thinking this may have been a hotel conversion. I ran this by my wife and so long as it has a king size bed that's comfortable, I think we can "rough it".

Great review!! Just the sort of info that is so useful. We had an exchange here thru SFX we were unable to use and gave away. We still plan to go sometime soon and may use our Diamond points. It is a hell of a drive for us from NorCal but having our own car would be a big plus. Again, thanks for such an excellent review.
